Aravindha Sametha Story

Veera Raghava (NTR) son of Narapa reddy (Nagababu), Naveen (Bala Reddy) son of Jagapathi babu (Basi Reddy) belong to two rival groups in Rayalaseema. Narapa reddy & Basi reddy are dumb, aggressive men who are revenge hungry, while their kids Veera raghava and Basi reddy are comparatively sensible.

Veera Raghava decides to put a stop to the violence, bloodshed and revenge that has been haunting since generations. In pursuit of peace, he sets out to Hyderabad where he meets Aravinda (Pooja Hegde) who is an anthropology student studying factionism, gives Veera raghava the much needed solution on how to put things to rest.

Rest of the story revolves around how Veera raghava brings a change to the entire faction filled mindsets without getting trapped in it himself.

Positives

*The torch bearer NTR is actual perfection - with his chiselled body, reduced dialogues, melancholic heroism he did a fabulous job. But for fans, his character might appeal more to the heart than to the eyes.

*Trivikram has managed to stick to the point throughout - ‘let’s save the world’ motto lead with powerful dialogues. A fitting reply to all his shortcomings.

*Ironically, the high point of the movie was 3 fights. Those 3 brilliantly choreographed action sequences - you can just watch them alone on repeat. Ram Lakshman!

*Jagapathi babu is brutal, foul mouthed, loud yet excellent. The way he dubbed for his role making us believe his throat and heart are suffering from pain is appreciable.

*Grip on the Rayalaseema slang - you feel transported to that village.

*Second half seemed short and lot better compared to the first. Towards the end Aravinda Sametha gains its momentum back and ends on a good note.

*Rao Ramesh, Naveen Chandra were good.

Negatives

*100 points to Pooja hegde for her effort on giving her voice over. Negative points for her diction, it was so off putting, it disconnects audience big time. She was present as much as NTR was hence double the annoyance.

*Overtly preachy at times. You feel bloated with too much gyan pumped into you. Emotional impact was close to null - lack of development in rapport between father son, mother son and even lead pair. No justice done to the title. It could be named anything Weren't expecting comedy from him based on set expectations but Sunil was just any other character.

*Poor screenplay - One moment you are high on adrenaline, the next you are being preached on how to spread peace. Highs and lows were haphazard Same old character designing by Trivikram - 2 heroines who happen to be sisters, funny fathers dad.

*Supriya pathak, Sunil, Esha Rebba, Devayani & Nagababu were underutilized.

Bottom Line

The first half of the film is quite exciting while it is slightly thrown off track in the second Half. Trivikram makes up for it with an emotional climax, but while it has been received well by some, others do not seem to connect with it. Overall, Aravindha Sametha is a decent comeback film for Trivikram. Had he fine tuned a few aspects of the film a bit more, it could've been box office gold. Nevertheless, the film still does have chances of making it big thanks to NTR.

If you are watching movies since last 5 years you have already seen this kind of a film. Aravinda Sametha has a preachy trivikram’s touch to it. Fans would be pleased, rest would be disconnected. Watch it for NTR - Trivikram combo, who knows if there might be a next?
