Dear Megha Review - Story

Megha (Megha Akash) is an introvert. She falls for a senior in her college, Arjun (Arjun Somayajulu) but she doesn’t express her love towards him. One fine day, Arjun disappears from her life. Soon after, Megha meets Adi (Adith Arun) and she is attracted towards him. This is when fate plays its part and Megha meets Arjun again. What follows is what we can say, in a way, is a triangular love story.

Dear Megha Review - Analysis

Right from the outset, we get a clear idea that Dear Megha is a faithful remake of Dia. The film progresses along on a predictable note, for most parts. It is just that the Megha - Arjun track is a bit more cheerful than that of the original. The rest of the screenplay is fairly identical to that of Dia.

Megha Akash looks good in the lead role. She performs well in this seemingly complex role. This goes down as one of her finest performances to date. Adith Arun looks at ease in a cheerful role. Arjun struggles to bring the right kind of portrayal that is needed for his character. He might have to brush up on his skill set.

The opening half predominantly establishes the love track between Megha and Arjun. It banks on subtle emotions that cater to a section of the audience. However, the narrative is off paced and the tempo keeps dropping every now and again. The latter half too progresses on a light-hearted note. But the emotional connection, that is quintessential for any love drama, isn’t potent enough in the case of Dear Megha.

The film mostly falters due to the sluggish narrative and the largely predictable narrative. The drama isn’t of desired quality. Despite having a good premise, the film fails to keep the viewers engaged and the sub-par screenplay is to be blamed for the same.

Dear Megha Review - Verdict

Dear Megha is a sluggish love drama that doesn’t have what it takes to make for a compelling watch. The emotions look forced, and the narrative is off paced. The film is a poxy love drama.
