Gaali Sampath is the latest Telugu film directed by Anish Krishna from a screenplay written by Anil Ravipudi. The film stars Rajendra Prasad, Sree Vishnu, Lovely Singh, Tanikella Bharani, and Satya.

Gaali Sampath Review:

Director Anil Ravipudi joined the list of directors who turned producers and supervisors for films. Earlier, K Raghavender, Maruthi, and a few other filmmakers did that. Now, Anil Ravipudi donned this new role for the new Telugu movie Gaali Sampath. Sree Vishnu and Rajendra Prasad played the lead roles in the film. The movie is billed to be a comedy entertainer with a survival drama.

The film's story revolves around Gaali Sampath (Rajendra Prasad). In an accident, Gaali Sampath loses his voice, and ever since, whenever he speaks, air comes out but not the tone. He wants to become an actor and his son (Sree Vishnu) is struggling in life to buy a truck and lead a life of his own. In a series of dramatic events, Gaali Sampath falls into a situation where his son hates him for his actions. Right after a huge argument between the duo, Gaali Sampath, unfortunately, falls into a deep pit in front of their house. The rest of the film is all about how Gaali Sampath manages to survive and win his son's love again!

In terms of story, there are multiple interesting elements in Gaali Sampath. Right from the design of the characters to the conflict, the story is gripping. However, the screenplay is disappointing. Anil Ravipudi took the credit for the screenplay of the movie. The star and sensational filmmaker could not design a good screenplay for this story. There are a lot of highs and lows. The film starts off on an interesting note but never actually gets into the story. The main conflict arises only during the film's interval. The actual story also begins at this point. The film lacks an emotional depth too. The hero-heroine track is unimpressive. Except for the title song, all the other songs failed to impress. The dialogues are good in many scenes.

The first half of the movie is slow and dragged. From introducing the characters to heading towards the main element, it appears like the story is revolving in a loop without actually taking the big leap. However, the second half is interesting and holds the audiences' attention. The pre-climax is impressive but the climax is a big letdown. The logic goes for a toss in the climax sequence. Although it is a survival drama, the film does not actually look like one. A few comedy tracks are hilarious while a few are unworthy. Director Anish could have put more time into the script in making betterment to it.

Gaali Sampath Performances:

Rajendra Prasad has given his best. At this point in time in his career, his performance in the film will surely grab the attention of young audiences towards his film. At the same time, Sree Vishnu is good in his role. The heroine Lovely Singh does not have any scope to perform. Satya and Pammi Sai are good. Srikanth Iyengar and Anish Kuruvilla track is overboard. Srinivas Reddy shines in a very good role. Technically, the film is okay. The camera work is good in parts. The editing is fine. The background score is loud. The VFX work is not up to the mark.

Gaali Sampath Verdict:

Instead of being a very gripping as well as emotional survival drama, the film Gaali Sampath ends up as a dragged, unimpressive boring drama.
