Oh! Baby Movie Summary:

Savitri (played by Lakshmi) is a widow and lives with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She showers affection on everyone, however, it is seen negatively. When it leads to a problem with her daughter-in-law, Savtri is dejected. She wishes to get young.

God (played by Jagapathy Babu) grants a wish and there enters Swathi (played by Samantha) in the frame. What will happen to Savitri? Will she get to fulfil her wishes?

Oh! Baby Movie Performances:

Oh Baby is Samantha's show all the way. She takes on the film single-handedly and comes out with flying colours. She's cute in comedy scenes and has performed exceptionally well in emotional scenes.

Having a veteran actress like Lakshmi as part of the cast makes things easier. She delivers a flawless performance as a widow who is dejected in life. She once again proved that she is timeless and indeed a great value addition to the movie.

Naga Shaurya comes as Samantha's pair and does his job neatly. His character doesn't require him to emote much and hence Shaurya has performed it with ease.

Rajendra Prasad and Rao Ramesh have done their parts with ease. In fact, these roles are just a cakewalk for them which they can perform in their half sleep.

Oh! Baby Movie Positives:

Director Nandini Reddy made a mark with Ala Modalaindi, however, struggled to keep her form after the film. Oh Baby follows the graph of the previous movies of Nandini Reddy. The fun and vibrant first half followed by a dramatic emotional turn in the second half with a neatly placed and well-rounded punch in the end

With Oh Baby, we can easily say that she has bounced back quite comfortably. The first half of Oh Baby is a laughter riot, especially after Samantha's entry. Nandini Reddy handles comedy well and it is seen in her previous films as well.

Samantha is literally the soul of the movie as she shines throughout the film. Her cute expressions in the first half and the range of her acting in the emotional second half is excellent.

Cinematography by Richard Prasad needs to be applauded. The frames and colour tones make the film look rich and glossy.

Oh! Baby Movie Negatives:

The film's pace slows down in the second half, The editing could have been better.

Also, the film is highly predictable and doesn't have any twists and turns to keep us hooked to the story when the pace slows down.

The music of the film given by Mickey J Mayer is underwhelming. It can be better considering the second half with all this band and competition stuff making it musically dependent. The background score too is just okay-stuff

Oh! Baby Movie Verdict:

Samantha and Nandini Reddy's Oh Baby is worth the hype for the most part. Except for the lengthy second half, the film keeps you entertained. On a whole Oh Baby is a heart warming movie, definitely a good weekend watch for movie lovers, and fans of Samantha in particular.
