Tanhaji Movie Review: What makes Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior movie stand out, is the fantastic star cast comprising Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Movie Review:

Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, and Kajol just light up the screen with their presence. The slow-paced narrative might be a drawback for the film, but the action sequences and the direction of the film make it worth a watch on the silver screen.

To begin with the plot of the film. The film is set in the late 17th century, wherein the Cruel Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb (Luke Kenny) declares Kondhana (now known as Sinhagad) as the capital of southern India, he sends his most trusted man UdayBhan(Saif Ali Khan) to guard Kondhana.

On the other hand, we shift to the region of the Marathas, where king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Sharad Kelkar) sends his most trusted and clever man Tanaji Malusare (Ajay Devgn) to capture Kondhana at any cost. What follows after is the battle between the mind and the might. Who wins between the two? Watch the movie to find out

The direction of Om Raut is in one word, fabulous, absolutely outstanding. As soon as the film starts, there's not even one moment where the audience begins to feel bore. Om Raut keeps the audience absolutely hooked to their seats throughout the 131 minutes that follow. And he has done justice to each character. The only problem with the film is that it tends to drag a bit. But again, that is the problem with any period drama.

The location and music are also very outstanding. Special mention to Keiko Nakahara and Dharmendra Sharma for extraordinary cinematography and editing.

Coming to the performances, Ajay Devgn gives his best performance to date, his dialogues give us the chills because he speaks them with so much courage and power. Saif Ali Khan is back in form once again with a negative role, he looks so menacing as the villain. Kajol looks beautiful as Savitri. Other characters like Sharad Kelkar and Luke Kenny have also done a good job.

Final verdict - Even if you're not interested in history, still Tanhaji is a delightful watch this weekend. Experience it in 3D
