5 terrorists hold man hostage in J&K’s Ramban, encountered

A group of five terrorists entered a house of a civilian and took him hostage in Batote town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district. Joint parties of police, Army and CRPF have cordoned the area. The terrorists have so far refused to surrender and exchange of firing is going on, as per Jammu and Kashmir Police.  

 
Joint parties of Police Army CRPF cordoned the area & exchange of fire ensues. Trapped terrorists had fired on a security team in the morning and tried to escape. After a hot chase, the terrorists entered the house of a civilian in Batote town, which was immediately cordoned. Senior officers on spot supervised the operation.   
 
Later, the civilian who got held hostage by terrorists in Batote area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district has been rescued unharmed. Security forces neutralized three terrorists, while one Army personnel was martyred and they injured two policemen in the encounter. The terrorists were spotted in the Batote market at around 12:45 PM, as per police.
