A Ukraine International Airlines' Boeing 737 plane carrying 180 passengers and crew members crashed in Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday. Reportedly, the plane crashed due to a technical issue shortly after the take-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport.
 
It had reported that at least 170 people died after it crashed in Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday. The plane crashed due to technical problems minutes after take-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran, the state media reported. An investigation team got sent at the site of the crash.
 
This comes amid tensions between Iran and the US over the killing of Iran's elite Quds Force head Qassem Soleimani in an airstrike. Meanwhile, India has asked all its airlines to avoid the airspace of Iran, Iraq and the Gulf following tensions in the region, reports said. Tensions between Iran and the United States escalated after killing of the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. The US confirmed it killed Soleimani, head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, in an airstrike in Baghdad.
