Accused pelted stones on us… snatched our weapons: Sajjanar on the encounter
Pictures showing police pistol in hand of one of the four accused of gangraping and murdering the 27-year-old Hyderabad veterinarian have surfaced online.
Addressing a press conference on today's encounter, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said the four accused in Hyderabad veterinarian rape and murder case had taken to crime spot to search for a hidden phone. He added the accused started pelting stones at the police and snatched their weapons. The accused opened fire and got killed in cross-firing, he stated.

The four accused had taken to the crime spot to recreate the scene. They shot the accused in self-defense after they snatched the pistol from police personnel and fired shots while trying to escape.
On the encounter of all four accused in the rape and murder of the 27-year-old Hyderabad veterinarian, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi said, "As you sow, so shall you reap". Asserting that she's not happy, Lekhi stated that "All women in the country must be feeling relieved somewhere". The charred body of the veterinarian had recovered on November 28.
