KCR is facing the hardest time in his entire political career. With the emergence of BJP in Telangana, KCR is clueless to face them as of now. On the other side, he faced too much criticism for granting permission to Nallamala Uranium mining but he claimed that their government hasn’t given any. Somehow he extracted all his confidence to form a balanced ministry in the cabinet expansion.
Now, KCR is back to business in which he is too efficient. In a first of its kind gesture, Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao announced a bonus of ₹1,00,899 to each of the 48,000 employees of mining company Singareni Collieries. The company, a 51:49 joint venture between Telangana and the Centre made a record profit of ₹1,765 crores in 2018-2019, 28% of which is being paid as bonuses. It gave a bonus of ₹60,369 each to its employees last year.
“Last year, each worker was paid an amount of Rs 60,369 as a bonus. By increasing the share in profits, each worker will now get Rs 1,00, 899 as a bonus, which is higher by Rs 40,530,” KCR said. He reminded that during 2013-14, when the Singareni Collieries was under the combined Andhra Pradesh regime, each worker was given a meagre amount of Rs 13,540 as a bonus. In the last five years, the Telangana government had been increasing the bonus gradually, he claimed.
