Among must-win constituencies in Telangana, for which all political parties fight rigorously, Huzur Nagar is not in the list. However, the by-elections have made it prestigious as BJP eyes on Telangana. BJP announced their candidate Kota Ramarao on Sunday while TRS announced their candidate Saidi Reddy.
For the ticket, Saidi Reddy was in contention with NRI Jaipal Reddy and he won it. Till he resigned to his job and joined politics three months ago, he belongs to BC community and worked as a Government Doctor. While expressing pleasure in getting the ticket, he said that he will fight with all his might to win the seat against TRS.
As TRS is trying to monopolize the elections, BJP has been gaining big ground in Telangana. Uttam Kumar Reddy wants this by-election to change that situation while Congress is not gaining any momentum in the state. CPM announced Arepally Sekhar Rao as their candidate whereas Telangana TDP hasn't announced any candidate.
TRS is looking to show its upper hand by winning the election with the grand majority while Padmavathi and Kota Ramarao have the support of both national parties. On October 21st polling will be conducted, whose results will be released on 24th.
