Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos will visit India in January 2020 to flag off the e-commerce giant's annual event around Small and Medium Enterprises (SEMs). Bezos, who recently said that he hopes for more regulatory stability in India, could potentially meet with PM Narendra Modi over the same.
Amazon has faced several protests by consumers and traders in India. The Amazon boss is likely to meet with PM Modi at a time of regulatory uncertainty. Amazon India has also been the subject of many protests by consumers, traders.
Bezos was overtaken by Billgates recently in the list of World’s richest man. This Amazon giant has its ventures in video streaming, online shopping, music departments, etc.
Ironically, Bezos will be in India to flag off its annual event for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who have been leading many of the complaints against eCommerce giants Amazon and Flipkart.
