Deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and senior YSR Congress party leader Amjad Basha has made a sensational comment. He said that he would be resigning from his post if the Jagan government allows the NRC (National Register of Citizens Bill) exercise in the state. Basha has previously held a huge rally for Muslims protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act and other acts that got passed in correlation. He said that he is willing to go to any extent in order to protect the interests of the minorities.
"For me, posts and parties are not important. Only people's interests are paramount for me", said Basha. If the government is looking to implement NRC, he said that he would not even think for a second to quit the government. The deputy also said that he would convince the CM to get a resolution against NRC and CAA in the assembly. Basha also said that the YSRC party had no chance to join the NDA government, given their power.
