Another Telangana leader joins BJP
On Tuesday, former MP, G Vivek is all set to join BJP. He had secured an appointment with Amith Shah, after getting estranged as he was denied along with his brother Vinod by TRS in the last elections. After meeting with Amith Shah, he will be publicly announcing his decision to join BJP. The political career of Vivek has been at stake since KCR started to ignore him.
Initially, he joined TRS after leaving Congress ahead of 2014 elections. However, he was denied a ticket. Hence he defected to Congress again and fought the elections, in which he got defeated by TRS member. He later joined TRS again, but KCR ignored him. In 2018 elections, his brother Vinod too was denied a ticket and thereby contested from BSP. He too lost the elections.
Recently, Vivek had stepped forward towards BJP and had met several BJP leaders. He even had a discussion with Rammadhav regarding his joining into BJP. This might show no impact on TRS and its president as well as Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR for now. However long term effects due to such small incidents might be expected after Amith Shah’s efforts have at last formed government in Karnataka by using numbers against JDS-Congress coalition government.
