AP capital issue reaches climax

Big day for Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP is all set to move the capital from Amaravati. The High Power Committee report had been recently approved in the cabinet and the detailed information regarding this cabinet meeting is not getting disclosed as the party wants to disclose it directly in the assembly. The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has withdrawn by the government according to the media reports.
 
Also, approval of a bill for decentralized development took place. Cabinet even said yes for High Court establishment in Kurnool and offering of packages to those farmers of Amaravati who have offered their land for capital. At the same time, the surroundings of the agency got surrounded by tight security where only elected leaders from both the parties allowed while many TDP leaders were in advance detained.

After a rigorous assembly session today the historic decision had made as the AP Assembly passes the "Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Bill, 2020" for the establishment of Legislative Capital at Amaravati, Executive Capital at Visakhapatnam and Judicial Capital at Kurnool.
