As none of the opposition and ruling parties stepping back from their stand, the rate for Amaravati as capital seems to be still in headlines. While opposition is supporting Amaravati as a sole capital of AP, the government of AP ruled by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has stuck to its decision of developing three capitals each for the legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
High-power committee will hold the final meeting on the 13th of this month. This committee was formed for making a final report on the recommendations given by the GN Rao and BSG committees. Even after, the GN Rao and Bostan committees reports are in favour of the government's rule, there is a special significance of the meeting of the High-Power committee.
While the AP government was in a hurry to speed up the process of making Vishakapatnam, the executive capital, holidays arrived on 17 and 18 of January after Sankranti vacation.
