Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has declared that his movable assets have gone up by ₹7.6 lakh since 2015. In the previous Assembly elections, Kejriwal declared his movable assets at ₹2.26 lakh which increased to ₹9.95 lakh in 2020. The CM's wife Sunita Kejriwal's movable assets increased by ₹41.79 lakh from ₹15.28 lakh in 2015 to ₹57.07 lakh in 2020.
In the affidavit filed with the Election Commission on Tuesday, Kejriwal declared that his self-acquired property, which valued Rs 92 lakh in 2015, now values Rs 1.77 crore.
According to the declaration with the EC, Kejriwal's property in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, which had bought for Rs 3.5 lakh in 1998, now has a current approximate market value of Rs 1.4 crore. The same was worth Rs 55 lakh in 2015 when he contested elections for the first time. The value of the property he inherited in Haryana has remained unchanged at about Rs 37 lakh.
