Responding to allegations made on BJP of luring TDP's MPs, BJP has recently said that they have not played any gimmicks or have conducted any operation Aakarsh on TDP MPs. They added that it was Modi's Charishma that had attracted then into BJP. Even before 2019 elections, many leaders joined BJP leaving their parties. So it was not any news thing to be seen especially by BJP according to Amit Shah.
They also said that all four of those MPs from TDP were seen meeting Modi earlier informally when they formally conveyed their interest to join BJP. The four MPs who defected from TDP to BJP are, Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh, TG Venkatesh and Garikapati Ram Mohan Rao. BJP officials even added that many more leaders will soon join BJP in the future and that everyone will be seeing this happening continuously.
By the defection of top personalities from TDP to BJP, both the Telugu States almost got shocked. For TDP after a massive loss in 2019 elections, this seems to be another huge blow. By this there might be an impact on other leaders in TDP which might leave TDP with the least possible members remaining in it and thereby its existence might not possible in upcoming elections.
