Buzz: MS Dhoni to retire after World Cup
The name which doesn’t need any introduction to all the Indian Cricket fans is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He has the largest fan base in the entire country. Now, the news circulating about this big man is MSD mayn't continue playing any longer but it's still a mystery whether he would announce retirement soon after India's last match in the ongoing World Cup or wait for some more time.
Of course, this could be the last ICC tournament that Dhoni could be playing and there are chances for his retirement after this grand tournament. In case if India qualifies for the finals and win the 2019 World Cup on July 14th at the Lord's, Dhoni may not want to miss the opportunity of getting a grand farewell. He has the knack of surprising everyone with his decisions.
Meanwhile, Dhoni is having a tough time in this World Cup who failed to accelerate the scoreboard. But, he is still the most crucial member in the team with his cricketing brain behind the steps assisting Kohli in tactics. With three keepers still in the world cup squad in form of Rahul, Karthik and Pant, there are speculations that Dhoni may retire from International cricket to give youngsters ample time to carve themselves a better future.
Dhoni scored more than 10,000 runs in his ODI career and most importantly won two World Cups for Team Indian and a Champions trophy. He is one and the only captain to lift all the ICC trophies till now. Dhoni retired from Test Cricket in the year 2014. He even chooses not to be the Skipper of Team India's ODI Squad in January 2017.
