CBN slams scanty budget allocation for AP capital
New Chief Minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was slammed by former Chief Minister of AP, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu for meager allocation of 500 crore rupees for the capital city development in the state budget 2019-2020. Reacting over this allocation, TDP president and opposition leader, Chandra Babu Naidu wondered what might Jagan build in Amaravathi with this allocation for the capital city and 250 crore rupees for Kadapa steel plant.
In his tweets, Babu said that Jagan who had made many promises and built hope among people is now up to belie their hopes. He pointed, "The budget shows how worst will be the coming days of Mr. Jagan's rule.” While referring to restrictions announced for the Amma Odi scheme, Babu said, "When you give a word you should be capable to fulfill it. YSRCP government neither has the capability nor the sincerity.”
Regarding unemployment, Naidu pointed, "When we were giving unemployment allowance to 5 lakh people, they said the state has 1.72 crores unemployed and asked what will happen to them. Why there is nothing for unemployed in this budget. Mr. Jagan should tell what will he give to 1.72 crores unemployed.” Whole some supported Naidu's versions, others opined, that Jagan’s governance till now is much better than that of Babu's.
