Deputy speaker suspends three TDP MLAs from Assembly
Ever since Assembly sessions have been started during the new term with YSRCP as the ruling side and TDP situating as the opposition there has been an aggressive posture from all the people’s representatives.
Finally, Three Telugu Desam Party MLAs, Atchannaidu, Nimmala Ramanaidu and Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary have been suspended from the Assembly for the ongoing budget session under the sub-rule 2 of Rule 340 by Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi who was chairing the house in the absence of Speaker Tammineni Sitaram.
This was all started when Nimmala Ramanaidu had demanded the YSRCP leaders on the electoral promise of granting grant pension to SC, ST, BC women starting from 45 years of age. Then, Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy clarified that there was no such promise made and cleared that neither their manifesto had it.
During this, CM Jagan had intervened and played a video of his speech during elections. Responding to this, TDP MLAs have requested Speaker to permit them to show their videos in the house. However, Speaker didn't allow the TDP MLAs and moved onto the next question.
Questioning this behaviour, TDP MLAs protested in the mid assembly that led to ruckus in the house and Finance Minister Buggana proposed to Speaker to suspend the three MLAs for the proper functioning of the house and to keep the house in the order and the deputy speaker did the same.
