Female beggar found with ₹15,000 cash, ₹2 lakh in a bank account in Puducherry

Officials of a Puducherry temple found a 70-year-old female beggar having ₹15,000 cash, a bank account with ₹2 lakh to her credit and an Aadhaar card.

 
That the beggar woman had so much money came to light when the temple authorities were clearing the pavement near the place of worship.
 
They discovered this after calling the police as she was refusing to move from the spot when the authorities asked her to. Parvatham (70) has earned the money by seeking alms from devotees visiting the temple.
 
The woman got shifted to a home for the aged and their relatives in Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu have informed.
