FIR registered against Samajwadi Party MP for his son keeping forged PAN card

An FIR has registered against Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam for allegedly keeping forged PAN card. The FIR had lodged over the allegation of conspiracy to grab government land in 2014 when Khan was Urban Development Minister in the Akhilesh Yadav-led government.
 
Over 84 criminal cases are pending against Azam Khan and his family in Rampur. Tanzeen Fatima and Abdullah Azam are SP MLAs from Uttar Pradesh. Last month, an FIR was also filed against SP MP’s wife and his son.
 
The FIR had filed under sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and as per the FIR it was under the possession of Rampur district magistrate.
 
In a separate matter, BJP leader Akash Saxena filed a case against Azam Khan and his family under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC. According to it, Azam Khan’s son had reportedly given a different birth certificate in his passport and then the election affidavit.
 
Another case for which arrest warrant issued includes one in which the SP MP made derogatory remarks against BJP candidate Jaya Prada during the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
