High Alert: Corona Virus might have hit India!

Earlier this month, there was news everywhere that the new-born virus named 'Corona' spread out from China to various parts of the world and most particularly to its neighbor nation, India, the second most polluted country to the world. Some ruled out the reports as rumors but what were are talking about is 'Virus' which has this inarguable knack of spreading in the blink of an eye.

In the latest development, two persons who returned from China have kept under observation in Mumbai for possible exposure to the new coronavirus which has infected over 800 people in China. The Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation has created an isolation ward at a hospital in Chinchpokli. Nearly 1,800 people underwent thermal screening at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport since January 19.

Now, the Shamsabad Airport in Hyderabad is also under high alert as the officials brought in specific scanners to detect the presence of the virus in any of the passengers that are departed from the foreign countries. Earlier, the Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala proved to be a deadly one and the country is not in the state to face or recover from another situation like that.

To avoid the virus attack - Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing and sneezing, the World Health Organization says. CDC recommends standard, contact, and airborne precautions for the management of hospitalized patients with known or suspected MERS-CoV infection. Other symptoms of this coronavirus include fever and shortness of breath. Severe cases can lead to pneumonia, kidney failure, and even death.
