In a much relief to the ruling government, the High Court gave a green signal to hold local body elections in the state. The plea which had filed against the 59.85 reservation policy got quashed by the court.
After admitting the Election Commission's affidavit, the court ordered that the election process of the local bodies must get completed by March 3.
The notification for ZPTC and MPTC election will get issued by January 17 and the election will hold on February 8. The results will get announced on February 10.
The Mandal Parishad president and Zilla Parishad chairman would get elected by February 15. Likewise, the notification for the Panchayat election will release on February 8 and the election process will get completed by March 3.
