IAS officers jammed between CM KCR and Governor Tamilisai

For KCR, the actions of Governor Tamilisai are turning out to be irksome. For a review meeting on September 24, Governor has invited all the vice-chancellors in her capacity as the chancellor of all the universities in the state. As the universities have no permanent VCs and all are being managed by IAS officers currently, while fulfilling their other responsibilities that have to be discharged, this had become a big problem for them.

On the same day, KCR called for a review meeting of senior IAS officials incidentally. At both the meetings, these IAS officers have to be present now. They may have to skip one of the two meetings as they can't attend both at a time. It would be seen as a serious breach of protocol and would be viewed very seriously if the IAS officers miss the governor's meeting.
Similarly, they cannot miss KCR’s review meeting. Which of the two meetings gets cancelled will give an indication as to who is the boss as at least one of the meetings need to be cancelled. It is yet to be seen whether KCR cancels his meeting or asks the governor to differ her meeting.
