The BCCI on Monday announced Team India squads for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka and ODI series against Australia. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who last played for India in September this year, had included in both the squads after recovering from a stress fracture.
However, one notable exclusion from the T20I squad is of Rohit Sharma. The ace Indian opener, who has been playing non-stop cricket throughout the year, has rested against Sri Lanka.
Interestingly, Kedar Jadhav kept his place in ODI squad and Sanju Samson who has been warming the bench for the last two series is also included in the T20 squad. Selectors said that they are likely to take a call on Hardik Pandya’s fitness in the third week of January. When questioned about MS Dhoni, MSK Prasad cleared that Dhoni has to play domestic cricket first to make it into the national team.
