India defeated South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in the third Test at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi on Tuesday to clinch the three-match series 3-0. This is the first time India has registered a series whitewash against South Africa in Test cricket history. Virat Kohli has become the first captain for India to whitewash South Africa. Further, India has now won six Test matches in a row on home soil. Team India also continued their unbeaten run of 11 consecutive home series wins.

 
India bundled out South Africa early on Day 4 to win the third Test and the series. All South Africa could manage this morning was 12 deliveries as Shahbaz Nadeem struck twice in successive deliveries to get rid of Theunis de Bruyn and Lungi Ngidi in the second over of the morning.
 
With 240 points in 5 Tests, India is miles ahead of any other team in the ICC World Test Championship. New Zealand and Sri Lanka with 60 points each ranked at numbers 2 and 3, respectively.
 
Meanwhile, Former Team India captain MS Dhoni attended the fourth day of the third India-South Africa Test in Ranchi on Tuesday. The 38-year-old visited Team India dressing room interacting with players. The BCCI took to Twitter to share a picture of Dhoni talking to spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and captioned it, "Look who's here."
