2,26,594 weavers across the state will get benefited under the scheme and its aim is to make the handloom weavers more competitive by upgrading their equipment.
The YCP leaders and activists took their turn in greeting CM's birthday wishes. This is the first birthday for Jagan in the role of Chief Minister. But he is having a busy day launching schemes and touring places.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that he has witnessed the problems of the weavers during his 'Padayaatra'. It had mentioned in the scheme details that the state government will offer a monetary grant of Rs. 24,000 per year to each handloom weaver, whose name is in the beneficiary list. This scheme helps weavers families to lead a decent life.
The financial assistance that had promised under the scheme will get the deposit in the bank account of the program beneficiaries.
