Jagan is in dilemma with Modi's behaviour
According to sources, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be in confusion as of Modi was supporting him or his rival and former Chief Minister of AP, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu who also happens to be rival of Modi. The reason for this confusion are some developments in the past week at the National level.
It is well known that Jagan is trying hard to book Chandra Babu in various cases one among which is the scam in Power Purchase Agreements in which Babu bought power at excess rates from private power supply organisations and received huge kickbacks in return. With this intention, Jagan had also set up an enquiry committee on this. He had also cancelled all the PPAs signed by Babu's government.
However, Jagan doesn't seem to be getting any support from Modi in this issue and instead is getting resistance from him. In an initial try, Jagan received a letter from power secretary to stop the enquiry and resume the PPAs. They said this might affect the confidence of investors to invest in future. Later two days earlier, Jagan got another letter from union power minister with the same orders.
Also, when Vijay Sai Reddy of YSRCP, raised the Polavaram corruption issue in Rajya Sabha, Union irrigation minister made it clear that there was no corruption in it. By this Jagan might have got confused regarding Modi's support.
