Jagan should settle with Package unlike CBN: Purandeswari
Once again someone from the Centre opposed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. This time it is, former union minister, Daggubati Purandeswari. She had reiterated that special status was a closed issue and the central government is already willing to sanction funds to AP as a special package.
She had advised Jagan to utilise this special package to develop Andhra Pradesh and not to go in the path of Chandra Babu Naidu. She also recalled that Chandra Babu Naidu had earlier accepted the special package saying that it is a better choice than special status.
However, he had changed his stand in the year of elections for his political gains. She told that the Central Government had offered too much funding to AP in the last five years as a special package. She had also made it clear that the Central Government had already passed a ruling over the sharing of Krishna and Godavari rivers and that there is no need for Jagan to compromise with KCR on this issue.
She accused TDP over cheating of farmers and DWACRA women on the name of loan waivers. Accusing CBN she asked Jagan not to make such promises that can't be fulfilled and asked Jagan to unearth the corruption that took place in CBN's regime.
