The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown of the country. He also started an initiative called PM-CARES Fund. The money donated to this fund will get used for the fight against the coronavirus. Many businessmen and celebrities are donating their bit to this fund. The latest addition in the list is the family of Jindals. The JSW Group, owned by Sajjan Jindal, announced a 100 crores donation to the PM-CARES fund.
Sajjan Jindal's son Parth Jindal has announced the donation through twitter. Parth tweeted, "Chairman of the @TheJSWGroup and chairperson of @JSWFoundation Papa @sajjanjindal and Ma @SangitaSJindal have decided to increase the @TheJSWGroupcontribution to @narendramodi ji’s PM - CARES to Rs 100 crores - more to come. Proud to be a JSWite, proud to be Indian - JAI HIND."
Parth Jindal has also promised that they will be donating more in the coming days. JSW Group is also offering staples and other essentials for the people of their group. They are also trying to make various JSW facilities as isolation wards to reduce the burden on hospitals. They are also supplying masks and gloves to health care workers. Meanwhile, the netizens are appreciating the efforts of the industrialists to help our country in fighting against this deadly virus.
