Karnataka Congress is in Vague state

The decision of who has to be the next Pradesh Congress Committee chief is still unclear. Congress high command in Karnataka seems to be still in a dilemma. It had been asking its previous chief, Siddaramaiah who recently resigned to his post after his defeat in by-polls, to pursue his post.

However, Siddaramaiah doesn’t seem to have any interest in taking up the post again. Recently, he even went to meet Sonia Gandhi regarding this. They both had a deep conversation on this issue and yet their meeting didn't prove to be fruitful. As the party high command is still in discussion, it had asked Siddaramaiah to continue his post till they get any alternative. However, he didn't accept it.

High command is likely to choose, Lingayat leader, MB Patil for this post. At the same time, Vokkaliga leader as well as, party’s money bag DK Sivakumar has his eyes on this post. According to Sivakumar, he is eligible for it as he had saved the party and its 14 months of governance during the Kumaraswamy regime. Another positive towards Sivakumar is that he has a belief in Rahul Gandhi. However, none of his party members are in support of him. This issue too had taken to Sonia Gandhi by Siddaramaiah.
