'KCR Manchodu - Babu Deyyam,' says Jagan !
While defending his decision to divert the Godavari waters, Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy clarified that this decision of his would surely yield benefits to the state and its people. He told that his government will only take a forward step if it has some benefits to the people of AP.
While fuming over Naidu, Jagan said, 'Like Karnataka and Maharashtra, if Telangana too starts building small dams on the Godavari, we can't stop them. What will be the future of AP which depends on Godavari water? When Telangana took up Kaleswaram Project and when Karnataka increased the height of Almatti Dam (on Krishna river), what did then CM Chandrababu do? Could he stop it?'
“Around 2489 TMC water from the Godavari will flow from Telangana to AP whereas he said only 500 to 600 TMC water is flowing from Sabari to AP,” he added. He also told that this decision was taken only after having a thorough consultation and thorough analysis. Jagan also asked, why will the state government step forward if we don't get water. "Friendly relation with Telangana is important.
All Telugu people should live with unity. I don't have any love of KCR. He is a good person. He is taking a step for good. Instead of supporting it, how far is it fair to misinterpret it?" said Jagan while mentioning about the friendship of Jagan with TRS president and Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR.
