Kejriwal terms Bihar people as 'Burden' to Delhi health infrastructure

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has alleged people of Bihar and other states are responsible for the burden on Delhi’s health infrastructure. Arvind Kejriwal has directly blamed the people of Bihar for long queues at hospitals in the national capital. He said that patients from different states are availing the facilities in Delhi hospitals free of cost.

"One person from Bihar buys a ticket to Delhi for ₹500, returns after availing free treatment worth ₹5 lakh. While it makes us happy, Delhi has its own capacity," he added. "How can Delhi serve the entire country?" he asked.

He said that the Delhi government has made world-class medical facilities accessible to the poor. The queues, he explained, are long because of the kind of facilities Delhi offers to its people. “No state in the country has such class of facilities. All medicines are free,” the CM said.
