Modi, Rahul, and Priyanka pay tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated 28 years ago in Tamil Nadu. PM Modi tweeted, "Tributes to former PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary." Earlier this month, during campaigning, PM Modi had said Rajiv Gandhi's life ended as "Bhrashtachari number 1".
Rahul Gandhi shared a picture of Rajiv Gandhi, India's youngest Prime Minister, and said his father taught him a lot. My father was gentle, loving, kind & affectionate. "He taught me to love & respect all beings. To never hate. To forgive. I miss him. On his death anniversary, I remember my father with love & gratitude," tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday paid tribute to her father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 28th death anniversary. Priyanka tweeted an old photograph with her father and shared the poem 'Agneepath' by Amitabh Bachchan's father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. She tweeted, "You will always be my hero."
Earlier this morning, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi along with their mother Sonia Gandhi offered respects to the former Prime Minister at his memorial, Veer Bhumi, in Delhi. Former President Pranab Mukherjee and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also joined them.
