Narasimhan praises Jagan while pointing out CBN
It is well seen and known that Governor ESL Narasimhan is not a man who often likes to mince words. Being a civil servant, he has sufficient knowledge about how politics works and how the government functions. He had supervised one of the most acrimonious bifurcations in Indian history, by being Governor of AP and Telangana. Both states’ Chief Ministers were guided by Narasimhan in resolving contentious issues.
However, there was some sore note. KCR was amenable while Chandra Babu Naidu who was the chief minister of AP at that time always tried to create issues and stir up controversies as well. Narasimhan even expressed his displeasure publicly on a couple of occasions. However, Naidu never cared about it. Instead, he used to criticise the governor openly.
While speaking at his farewell, Narsimhan openly praised Jagan Mohan Reddy and his governance. He compared his governance with cricket while praising him. It looked like more than praising Jagan, Narsimhan tried to point out Chandra Babu Naidu while praising Jagan.
Complementing Jagan and his rule, Narasimhan compared his 34 days governance with a cricket captain opening the batting with a powerplay of 10 overs by hitting every ball to a boundary or a six, which is magnificent. He advised Jagan to consolidate his hitting after first few overs while resuming the hit again at the end, which is the end of his five-year rule.
He wanted to opine to all this could have been done by him too. Narasimhan even praised Jagan for maintaining cordial relations with Telangana. Once again it was a shot aimed at Naidu who never got along well with KCR.
