Now the viruses are terrorizing the world. Day-by-day new viruses are evolving and menace to the human race. Governments are trying to prevent these viruses but in vain. Recently, many people were dead with the effect of Coronavirus and now hens lose their lives because of this newly emerging virus. Poultry farmers are suffering from this.
Now another virus has emerged. Orchard farmers are suffering from this virus outbreak. A new virus called 'Rugos' is destroying the orchards. The virus had detected in Kerala by the authorities. Now it's spreading throughout South India. Its severity is increasing day by day. In AP, Vijayanagaram, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, and West Godavari primarily this virus effect got identified.
Till now 10,226 hectares of Coconut and 11,774 hectares of palm oil in Krishna Districts got destroyed by this virus. The virus also destroys Banana, Guava, and Custard-apple orchards. The virus has infected palm oil in the Khammam district. Authorities have identified this virus is due to the White mosquito. It had identified on coconut trees in Kadim, East Godavari district.
This virus primarily sucks the juice in the plant thereby the leaves have the risk of drying and then leave the plant gradually. Slowly it kills the plant. Authorities are unaware of which pesticide would kill this virus. Banana plantations are abundant in Godavari districts. Officials say that there will be a huge loss for the orchard farmers.
