One phone call from Amit Shah changes KCR’s decision
Politics in India is nothing but a game of numbers. As soon as the number game slowed its effects on Karnataka assembly, the impact of number game has also been seen in the Rajya Sabha once again. However, in recent times, BJP has become a good player in this number game. It has gained enough experience in this game.
In a recent incident, BJP has once again played this number game. With the help of TRS party, BJP has succeeded in passing the RTI Amendment Bill in the parliament. Initially, the BJP was willing to pass this bill in parliament, the opposition parties wanted to appoint a select committee to foresee this bill. Even TRS was among those opposition parties.
Initially, out of 240 members, BJP had the support of 119 members. But as the six MPs of BJP and its allies have their term ended on Wednesday, the BJP fell short of members. Realising this, Amith Shah showed his experience in number game once again. He called on the Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR and had asked his support.
KCR who was eager to get good relations with BJP once again after criticising it in the Lok Sabha polls accepted his request and sent his MPs in a special flight to Delhi. These MPs of KCR met Union Minister Jithender Singh and have withdrawn themselves from the select committee demand by the instructions they got from KCR.
