N Raghuveera Reddy who is Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president and former minister follows the foot steps of Rahul Gandhi and former Telangana Congress Chief, Revanth Reddy by resigning from the president post. On Wednesday announced that he had resigned from the PCC chief post, taking responsibility for the defeat of the party in the state in the recent assembly elections.
This comes after the National Congress Chief announces his resignation taking moral responsibility for the party’s debacle across the country. However, Raghuveera said he had tendered his resignation on May 19 itself, four days before the announcement of election results in Andhra Pradesh. But the high command denied his resignation and for that he had been continuing his post.
No one can find that reason what difference his resignation makes the difference for the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh. The people had already buried the party and there was no scope for its revival in the state. Even though his resignation hardly matters for the people, he said that till his last breath, he won’t leave congress. Alike him, there are couple of prominent leaders who dis stick to the party in the name of principle as their political career practically has come to an end.
