Rishabh Pant, who is regarded as the potential person to fill the big boots of MS Dhoni has been dropped from the Playing XI for the first test against South Africa which is going to start tomorrow at Vishakapatnam. Pant has been facing a lot of criticism for his selection of shots that made a bad impact on his recent performances.
 
The BCCI on Tuesday announced Team India playing XI for the first Test against South Africa, which will begin on October 2. Rishabh Pant has been excluded from the playing XI and has been replaced by Wriddhiman Saha, who last played a Test for India in January 2018. Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma are the two pacers in the team.
 
Rohit Sharma, despite his failure in the practice game, will open the innings along with Mayank Agarwal even as Shubman Gill will have to wait for his chance. Kohli has also cleared that India’s limited-overs vice-captain will be given enough time to find his rhythm at the top of the order in the whites.
