After elected as BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly revealed the missions ahead of him and even spoke about the challenges ahead of him. This Kolkata Prince got elected unanimously and the entire country welcomed this decision along with the senior cricketers. While everyone is waiting for how Dada leads the richest cricket board in the world, here comes an interesting update from him.
Sourav Ganguly, who will take over as BCCI President on October 23, said he would talk to the selectors and captain Virat Kohli on October 24 about MS Dhoni's future. "We'll have to see what Dhoni wants. I'll also speak to him," Ganguly said. Coach Ravi Shastri won't be a part of the selection meeting as per the new BCCI constitution.
Former India skipper Dhoni, 38, has been away from international cricket since India's exit from the World Cup after losing the semi-final clash to New Zealand. He later joined the Indian Army for two weeks and also missed the West Indies tour. He was also not selected for the T20Is against South Africa at home.
Significantly, Dhoni's retirement from international cricket has been a matter of debate in recent times with every cricketer giving their views.
