"Alcohol consumption is injurious to health", often we hear this, but no one accompanies it. When compared to hospitals, we have liquor stores in a large number in our country. Recent studies say that compared to men, women like to have alcohol more. So, here is good news for women - the government is going to open special liquor stores for women. Moreover, only the costly, foreign wines and whiskey are available in these stores.
In India, we generally consider that women-consuming alcohol is a sin. But now it is a surprise that one of the state governments has taken steps to make alcohol available for women. Efforts are being made to provide the type of alcohol which they prefer. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath hopes to open special liquor shops for girls.
Special liquor stores open soon in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior for women. Only foreign liquor, which is mostly preferred by women will be available in these stores. There will be no beers or cheap liquor available in these special liquor stores. The government also decided to sell only foreign brands.
This means that only alcohol with higher prices will be available there. Wine Festivals in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior are set up to promote liquor produced in the state. The government will open shops only in 15-tourist areas to promote liquor made in the state with grapefruit. With the new liquor policy in force from April 1, prices are likely to rise 15 percent.
