Looks like TDP is going to lose some members of the party who are in power for now. In this case, there seems to be no chance of defection. Instead, he might have to resign to his post if sources are to be believed. According to sources, it is being said that former minister and TDP MLA, Kinjarapu Atchennaidu had not disclosed some of his pending grave cases at the time of nominations. For this, he can be disqualified.
It is being said that his rival Perada Tilak, who happened to have got defeated against him had gone to the court seeking disqualification of Atchennaidu. He had alleged that Atchennaidu had misled election commission by hiding some of the cases filed against him which are still pending. He added that Atchennaidu had not mentioned cases under various sections regarding the arson on July 21st, 2007 at Obulapuram Mines.
In the Raidurgam court case, he happened to be the accused no.21. Regarding this case, he is also known to carry an arrest warrant over him. Tilak had lost in 2019 elections only with the difference of 8500 votes while contesting from YSRCP where Atchennaidu contested from TDP. If the court case comes in favor of Tilak, then Atchennaidu might have to resign to his post. This makes TDP lose one more member in power.
