Temporary captain Rohit Sharma got irked with the journalists in press conference

In recent times, Rohit Sharma was always seen in all press conferences for his stellar performances. Then, he gave some witty answers that went viral all over social media. But now, he faced the journalists as the captain of Team India ahead of the T20I series with Bangladesh in which he hasn’t had a good time.

On getting asked about former India wicketkeeper-batsman Farokh Engineer’s remark that selectors served Anushka Sharma tea at World Cup, India stand-in captain Rohit Sharma said, “Neither am I the President nor the regular captain.” “Ask [Farokh Engineer] why did he say that? I haven’t said anything...I cannot go into Farokh Sir’s head and see why he said that?” he added.

Later another journalist asked Rohit’s opinion on Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan getting banned for two years for not reporting bookie approach, Team India stand-in captain Rohit Sharma said, “I can’t say anything. I am not ICC.” Shakib got handed a backdated ban ahead of Bangladesh’s tour of India. Shakib had contacted by a bookie named Deepak Aggarwal.
