Due to the Riots, up to 30 people have died in northeast Delhi. United Nations has recently responded to the bereavement. Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres expressed his condolences. He urged the Indian government to take strict action to inhibit violence.
The United States Commission reacted sharply to the riots in Delhi. The commissioner of the agency, Anurima Bhargava, blamed the police for not intervening in the attacks on Muslims in Delhi. United Nations House Foreign Committee says that peaceful protest should have held in democracy.
US opposition leader Democratic presidential nominee Bernie Sanders recently criticized Trump's visit to India. Bernie says that, Is there any necessity of Trump's visit to India during the riots in Delhi? Sanders alarmed that only Muslims were dead in the Delhi riots.
When Trump was in India, he addressed the reporters as, “We did talk about religious freedom, and I will say that the prime minister was incredible on what he told me,”. “He wants people to have religious freedom, and very strongly.” But while acknowledging Sanders' in the United States of America, he said the cause of the Delhi riots was a leadership failure in protecting human rights. Trump has said that Modi has failed to inhibit the riots. So, BJP senior leaders feel like Trump is the biggest backstabber for Modi's entire political career.
