Jaipur: Cruelty of the in-laws on the young woman on her wedding day in Jaipur, Rajasthan. A 24-year-old bride was forced to undergo a virginity test by her in-laws. The complaint alleges that the groom's parents forced the girl to undergo a virginity test. The incident took place on May 11. But the woman says that she could not file a complaint because she was mentally exhausted.
The woman's marriage took place in Bhilwara. That very day, the young woman was subjected to a virginity test. In the complaint, the woman says that her husband's family avoided her by pointing out that she failed the test, and the panchayat ordered her to pay Rs 10 lakh. According to the woman's complaint, her husband and family beat her up , alleging that she had failed the virginity test.
“After the marriage, the virginity test was done in the afternoon. After that, they discussed it till the night. I could not say anything because of fear. Then I was beaten up by husband and husband's parents, accusing me of failing the examination,” the woman said in her complaint to the police.
After the incident Khap Bagore SHO Ayub Khan stated that the girl had told her husband's parents that she had been molested. The in-laws knew this earlier, and they were torturing the girl under this name. A case is pending in the Subhash Nagar Police Station regarding the molestation of the girl. The police said that the incident is being investigated in detail and a case has been registered against the husband's parents.
