What happened to the OLD CONGRESS?

Even the security deposits in Delhi were not gained by some senior leaders like Alka Lamba, Krishna Tirath, Poonam Azad and Rajesh Lilothia.

What happened to the OLD CONGRESS?

Looks like the expiry date of Congress party is not too far. It seems India’s most historic and oldest party is it’s end times. In the Delhi assembly elections, once again Congress had failed to win at least in a single place. Every candidate of Congress had lost in these elections, that too for the second time.

This is the second state after Andhra Pradesh, where Congress had last without at least a single seat in assembly for the two consecutive times. Exit polls were telling that Congress might at least open its account in these elections, unlike the previous ones. However, it didn't happen. Both the BJP and AAP got ahead of it and with a great majority.

Indian National Congress had not considered the alternative to BJP by the majority of the states in the country. The lack of leadership is the main reason for this state and besides that their party lacks unity and every leader is busy looking after their personal benefits. No cadre is present to take their party into the people and Rahul Gandhi’s out dates speeches irk people big time.

Even the security deposits in Delhi were not gained by some senior leaders like Alka Lamba, Krishna Tirath, Poonam Azad and Rajesh Lilothia. It looks like, Alka Lamba had contested from Congress this time even after she had won a ticket from AAP in 2015 elections.

For the Congress party campaigning in Delhi, even the key leaders of it like Sonia Gandhi stood away. Even Priyanka Gandhi's campaigning was nominal in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi was present here and there but it went in vain. This party has lost all its popularity and plot after the demise of Shiela Dixit.
