Director Lingusamy Sentenced For 6 Months Imprisonment

Lingusamy is one of the well-known directors in the South. Lingusamy also works as a producer. According to a recent source, director Lingusamy has now been given a punishment of 6-month in prison. The ruling is in connection with the non-repayment of the loan received for the movie "Enni Ezhu Naal".

The Saidapet court sentenced the director to 6 months in prison in August 2022. This was due to check fraud on the part of PVP Capitals. Lingusamy appealed against this. The appeal was rejected by the Madras Principal Sessions Court. Sessions court also maintained the directive that the money be repaid with interest.

For the 2014 film "Enni Ezhu Naal," director Lingusamy was expected to reunite with Karthi. It was after their 2010 hit "Paiyaa" together. PVP Capitals gave Rs 1 crore 3 lakhs for the making of the movie "Enni Ezhu Naal." The director refused to repay this debt. PVP Capitals brought a lawsuit to the Madras High Court as a result. The High Court ruled that Director Lingusamy must pay back the loan she obtained from PVP Capitals.

Then Lingusamy delivered a check for the loan sum. However, it became an issue for the director and his brothers. The cheque was rejected because the account had a low amount. In the check fraud case, the Saidapet Court later sentenced Director Lingusamy to 6 months in prison. The judgement was then appealed by Lingusamy and his brothers in the Madras Principal Sessions Court. The higher court has now affirmed the earlier statement.
