Now Vamshi Paidipally is directing Vijay's bilingual movie "Varisu". The film is scheduled for Pongal 2023 release. The action, romance, and entertainment-filled movie is reportedly going into post-production starting on December 5.
The film will be released in both Tamil and Telugu. It has been the subject of debate in recent days. It is because the Telugu Film Producers Council recently made a statement on festive film's release dates. According to the announcement, Telugu movies would be prioritised over other dubbed and bilingual releases. The Telugu Film Producers Council was urged to reconsider the decision by numerous directors and actors who came out in support of actor Vijay. They also pointed out that many Telugu films had been released in Tamil Nadu during the festival season.
Now filmmaker Lingusamy has spoken his opinion. According to reports, Lingusamy claimed that the current cinematic era is a golden one with the rise of digital channels. He said that no movie should encounter controversy before or after its debut. He continued by saying that "Varisu" is a movie that will fundamentally alter how people view movies today. The Telugu Film Producers Council should reconsider the decision, he reportedly added. No one in the state raised a fuss when "KGF 2" was released in Tamil Nadu. It competed at the box office with "Beast" in January.
The film's first single, Ranjithame, generated a lot of buzz and has received over 50 million views on the video streaming service. Rashmika Mandanna, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Shyam, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Srikanth, and Samyuktha Shanmuganathan are among the cast members of "Varisu." The film will be a fully packed family entertainer.
