Kangana's Thalaivi Censored With U Certificate

Kangana Ranaut has been thrilled about her upcoming film, Thalaivi, directed by AL Vijay. Though the film has been completed a long time ago, it is still waiting to see the light of the day due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The makers of Thalaivi worked on the post-production and completed it recently. Thalaivi was submitted for a censor certificate and it has been reported that the film has been awarded a U certificate without any cuts. Thalaivi was initially planned to hit the theatres in April but was postponed due to the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Thalaivi team pushed the release date indefinitely.

Now that the film has been censored, it has been reported the makers are eyeing a release in August. An official announcement regarding the release date of Thalaivi will be out in the coming weeks. Thalaivi, as reported earlier, is the official biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. Thalaivi is produced by Vibri Media. The biopic features Arvind Swamy as MGR, Madhubala as MGR's wife Janaki, Shamna Kasim as Sasikala, Samuthirakani as RM Veerappan, Prakash Raj as Karunanidhi and Jisshu Sengupta as Shoban Babu.
